2014/15 School Wide Attendance Rate was 91%
2015/16 School Wide Attendance Goal = 96%
Thank you parents/guardians for getting your child(ren) here to school on time each and every day. Studies show that there is a direct correlation between a child's attendance and their grades. If they attend school regularly, academic success increases.
Please help us to reach our goal of 97% attendance this year.
Please note that students may be rewarded for good attendance throughout the year (Field Trips, Weekly Gotcha Points, and Trimester Awards).
**If your child is tardy or absent, please send a note with your child or call the office to have it excused**
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP YOUR CHILD IN READING AND MATH???

2. SRC Student (On-line Reading Program)
3. Khan Academy (On-line Math Program)
We need your help. Research shows that your child's success hinges on your involvement in their life, in particular; school. We would love for you to be a part of Bess Maxwell. How do you do this? Volunteer. Talk to your child's teacher or speak with the principal on ways you can get involved. I want Bess Maxwell to be the best. The teachers and I need you in order to do this.
You can also help support your child and the school by reinforcing our school's goals at home. Below are the goals for this year:
1. IMPROVE OUR MATH AND READING SCORES. (Read and/or practice math fact for 20 min. a night.)
2. IMPROVE OUR ATTENDANCE RATE.
(Make sure your child attends school. If he/she is sick, call and send a doctors note to school with your child the following day.)
3. TO BE RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, AND SAFE.
(Practice saying please and thankful at home. Teach your child to do the right thing even when no one is looking.)
4. HAVE FUN.
(Celebrate successes, even small ones. "That a boy's" or "High Fives" go a long way.)
