We recommend that students in grades   3-5 have guided practice using the internet to develop the skills needed to evaluate sources.  We do not recommend that students below grade 3 search the internet until they have developed the necessary skills.

Students in K-2 will visit the Media Center at least once weekly to exchange library books.  Grade 3-5 will use the media center with their class to select great reading materials, practice using the Destiny (online catalog)and learn to use online resources correctly.

Students also learn research skills and begin to learn Boolean search strategies.
