The Hostel is part of a self-sufficient homestead where we grow food, raise pigs and chickens and also cut our own
lumber and granite to build with.

Deer Isle is one of the best places in the world for kayaking and canoeing, being surrounded by nearly 100 smaller islands, many of them publicly accessible.
