SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) Community Schools in Multnomah County are full-service neighborhood hubs where the school and partners from across the community come together to make sure kids and families have what they need to be successful - in school and in life.


Gilbert Park Summer SUN

Looking for something fun for your kids to do this summer?  Want them to avoid the summer learning slump?  Joins us for our summer program.

Registration opens May 10th!  Look for forms in Wednesday folders or stop by the school and pick one up.  Forms are due June 1st.        

Summer dates: 

 July 17th-August 10th.  Mon-Thurs.  8:30-12:30

Breakfast & lunch provided.  Various activities to choose from.

Early Kindergarten Transition
Do you have a child entering kindergarten at Gilbert Park in September? Sign them up for a free two week summer program!  Forms are available at the GP front office.

Children will meet teachers, make friends, get the know the school and get ready for kindergarten.      
Parents and/or caregivers meet Mondays & Wednesdays to learn about kindergarten and the school, meet school staff and other parents. 
July 31st-August 11th.  Monday-Friday.  8:30-12:30 

Breakfast & lunch provided.  Childcare available during parent meetings.
