Hello Sixth Graders and Families!

I enjoyed meeting with many of you on Back To School Night and I am looking forward to a great school year!

As a 6th grade team, we work on independence skills, personal responsibility, and being role models. We are preparing them for middle school, where they will have more responsibility and ownership in their learning. We do ask for your support in signing planners nightly.

According to Dr. Seuss: "The more that you read, the more things that you know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Daily reading is very important. I encourage everyone, you and old, student or adult to read daily! Our expectation is that 6th graders read daily for at least 30 minutes!

Warmly,
Ms. Z
