Welcome to French, Freshman Transition & Public Speaking!

Bonjour!

My name is Dayna Moore and I am happy to teach French and Public Speaking at Rock Canyon High School. I have been teaching in Douglas County School District since 1997. I was on the opening team of Rock Canyon and Rocky Heights Middle School. I have seen the school grow from 190 students to over 2000 students. No matter how big or small, Rock Canyon is a great place to learn.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Arkansas and a Masters Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Grand Canyon University. I also studied at the Collège International de Cannes, France.

A little about me: I am an Iowa native. During my last semester in college, I participated in the Walt Disney World College Program. After graduation, I continued to work for Disney in many positions. I met my husband there and then followed him and his career to many cities before landing in Colorado. We have three sons who are all Rock Canyon High School graduates.

For French Students: I believe that if a student enjoys their foreign language class, they will stick with it and their language skills will naturally progress. I teach my students practical and useful French in a lively and collaborative environment. I help my students understand the importance of learning other languages and cultures and I help prepare them to be global learners and thinkers. Learning French is fun and rewarding!
