Announcing the new Principal for ThunderRidge High School!


Chris Tabeling, Assistant Principal at ThunderRidge, has been selected as the new Principal for ThunderRidge High School.  Chris has been working in education for 20 years.  We are excited to have Chris join us in his new role.


Summer Office Hours

Due to construction throughout this summer, ThunderRidge High School offices will be closed from
June 5 through August 1, 2014

Beginning June 5, new families who have moved into the ThunderRidge High School boundaries for the 2014-2015 school year may contact Douglas County School District at sdis@dcsdk12.org or call 303-387-0016 to begin the New Student Enrollment process.

Families requesting Open Enrollment to ThunderRidge may contact the TRHS Registrar at ann.kelling@dcsdk12.org. 

Open Enrollment
 If you would like to attend ThunderRidge High School the 2014-2015 school year, please complete the Open Enrollment Form (click here) and hand-deliver. Open Enrollment ends on Friday, August 15, 2014. 

Due to construction, ThunderRidge High School staff will be available at Ranch View Middle School (next door to TRHS) to accept forms only on the following dates and times.  

July 22 from 8:00 - 12:00 pm
July 23 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm
July 28 from 8:00 - 2:00 pm
July 29 from 8:00 - 2:00 pm


No schedule changes or schedule requests for current students will be taken during the times listed above.

2014-2015 Online and Onsite Student Check In:


The Online Student Check In window will be open July 21 – August 3.


Onsite Student Check In is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm at TRHS.

TRHS is a 2013 Winner of the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award!
The John Irwin Awards are given to schools that demonstrate excellent academic achievement. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools “exceed” expectations on the academic achievement indicator and “meet or exceed” expectations on the indicator related to academic growth gaps. 


To ensure the safety of our students, please adhere to our TRHS traffic flow map.  There will be heavy traffic the first few weeks of school.  Please drop students off in designated areas ONLY.
