Welcome!  My name is Lori Nicolais, and I have the absolute privilege to be Sierra's Literacy Specialist.   I co-teach for ELA on teams Colorado River and Castle Peak, and I manage the READ plans for the building.   The great state of Iowa is where I grew up and eventually earned a BA in English Education, Go Hawks!!  I experienced enormous and exciting culture shock when I accepted my first teaching job in Las Vegas, Nevada.  After six  wonderful years teaching English, welcoming my only child, and earning my Master's, we moved to Parker.  I currently live in Lakewood with my husband, Mario, and our French bulldogs, Periwinkle and Ghus.  This May, I will celebrate twenty seven years teaching at Sierra Middle School.  Obviously, I'm very proud to be an EAGLE!
