Essentials this week is: Art Spelling Words Week of We are taking the week off from spelling due to CMAS | About Mrs. Jones It is with great pleasure that I assume the role of your child's teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am excited to spend the year learning together and getting to know you and your child. I strive to create a classroom that is engaging, collaborative, and exciting to learn in each day; I can't wait for our year to begin. I attended Carroll University, in Wisconsin, and received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been involved in education for the last 16 years, and in December of 2011, I completed my master's degree in Elementary Education. My educational career began right here in Douglas County; at Northridge Elementary School and all 3 of my daughters graduated from Mountain Vista High School. I had been a resident of Highlands Ranch for over 24 years and most recently moved to the nearby community of Sterling Ranch!! My husband Kevin and I are embracing all that it has to offer and the proximity to golf courses and outdoor recreation. I believe in our school mission of "Reaching Every Child, Every Day" and I will strive to obtain this goal. Through the "Leader in Me" program, students will develop skills that will encourage independence and leadership in all areas of their lives. I strongly believe in open and positive communication with students as well as their parents. I value your participation in your child's education, and I look forward to working with you! Thank you for sharing your child with me each day; I feel honored to learn with them! |
