Mrs. Gerbsch's 1st Grade Class

Dear Redstone Elementary Families,

I am thrilled to continue my journey with Redstone team this year as a first grade teacher!
I grew up in Michigan and graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2014, where I majored in Elementary Education and Integrated Science. I taught for two years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During that time, I met and married my husband, Andrew. He was promoted within his company and we moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2016. In Nashville, I taught for three years. I have taught second grade, first grade, and kindergarten. This will be my second year teaching at Redstone Elementary.

My husband and I have moved to the Denver area due to another job promotion with his company. We are very excited to be in such a beautiful state! We both enjoy hiking and being outdoors. We welcomed our son, Grant, in December 2019. In my free time, I also enjoy working out, reading, or playing games with friends and family. We have a dog, Bella, and we love to spoil her!

First grade is an exciting year of growth and discovery. I am looking forward to encouraging your child to be a leader, reader, and life-long learner. I look forward to creating a classroom community that is kind and caring, but also motivated to always do and be the best. We will be learning a lot, and I have high expectations of every student who walks into my room, so your support is very much welcomed and appreciated. Students thrive when they have adults in their lives who are pouring into them and supporting them, and I look forward to teaming up with you to support and encourage your child in their education.

Sincerely,

Allison Gerbsch
