Getting to Know the Reading Recovery Teachers

My name is Annette West.  I have been teaching at Pine Lane Elementary for 22 years.  I have taught second grade and first grade. This is my 6th year teaching Reading Recovery.  I have two children named Ty and Jacey.  Jacey is in 5th grade and Ty is a 7th grader at Cimarron Middle School.  My husband, Philip, teaches Technology at Cimarron Middle School.  In my free time, I enjoy walking, stand up paddle boarding and spending time with my family.

Eeek!  I am so excited to be at Pine Lane teaching Reading Recovery.  I am Molly Klenovich and this is my 17th year of teaching.  I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Grades.  I went to college in Nebraska, but I was excited to come back to Colorado.  I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, and that is where I began my teaching career.  My husband and I moved to Parker 12 years ago and love it here!  We have two active boys; Jackson is 11 and in his first year of middle school, and Parker is 8 and a third grader.  My boys keep us super busy.  We can often be found on the football field or at the baseball diamond.  In my free time, I love to read, enjoy the beautiful Colorado outdoors, shop, travel and watch sports.  Go Broncos

Hello! My name is Margaret Matt and I am one of three Reading Recovery teachers here at Pine Lane! A little about me...I grew up in Aurora and attended Regis University, where I studied elementary education. After college I taught 2nd grade for five years in Hays, Montana on the Fort Belknap Reservation. I moved back to Denver and taught 5th grade for two years then was able to move back to teaching 2nd grade. While teaching I worked on my masters degree through Grand Canyon University. I completed my Masters in 2013, and in 2015 I was ready to move out of the classroom into a more specialized role with reading. I enjoy working with children each day and the joy they find in reading. In my free time I like to walk/hike, read, visit new places, and spend time with family and friends.
