2015 Senior Update

March 5, Graduation announcements and other items ordered from Jostens will be available to be picked up between 10:50 and 1:20. They will be located in front of the auditorium box office. Items must be paid in full in order to be picked up.

Cap and gowns should now be ordered. If you have not yet done so, call 303-470-5136.

Collages: If your student has not yet picked-up their collage packet in the main office, please have them do so. Collages should be returned by April 1.

Graduates (2012 or earlier) if you are in need of transcripts, you get them from the District. Click herethen click on Former Student/Alumni. 2013 graduates contact the RC counseling office at 303-387-3022.


Student Parking Information

Students are allowed to park at RCHS by permit only. Due to the number of parking spaces available, only seniors and juniors will be able to purchase parking permits for the 2014-15 school year. At this time all student parking spaces have been sold.

If a permit becomes available, permits will be issued to students in the order of the waiting list.

Completing the application does not reserve a permit. Permits will be issued to licensed drivers only. Students must present their drivers license when picking up their permits.

Student accounts will be billed $50 once students receive their permits. No cash or checks will be accepted. All fees prior to the 2014-15 school year must be paid in full in order to receive a parking permit.

All Free & Reduced applications are done online this year. You can also access this link by going on the district website and clicking on the n at the bottom. Choose Nutrition Services and there is a big blue oval that says "Online Free & Reduced Lunch Application" or use the link below.

Student Health Insurance

The Douglas County School District Risk Management Department has collaborated with an independent insurance agency for student health insurance needs. Student accident insurance coverage can be obtained through K&K Insurance. Specifically the web site to enroll online is www.studentinsurance-kk.com. Hard copy applications can be obtained in the Rock Canyon main office.

For all students it is mandatory to have health insurance to go on overnight field trips and for secondary students involved in sports, student health insurance is critical. If you have any questions about the insurance costs and the coverage limits contact the K&K Student Insurance representative Brice Durban at 785-213-9879. If you have any questions about this program, contact Brennan in Risk Management at 720-433-1097 or brennan.mendus@dcsdk12.org.

 

Weather Closure/Delay

If school has a delayed start due to weather, the delayed start will be 1-1/2 hours (this is a change from a one hour delay.) The District will use the following methods to notify parents about weather related school closures and schedule changes: local television and radio broadcasts, District website, District weather hotline 303-387-7669. Our Check Policy:

The Douglas County School District is moving to an ACH (automatic clearing house) check clearing process beginning July 1, 2012. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic funds transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.
