Deborah Blake - Classroom Teacher

Alyssa Castillo - SPED Assistant

Hi, I’m Alyssa Castillo. I am the Special Educational Assistant for classroom A. I have been working with preschool age students for almost 4 years, and have been here at Prairie Crossing Preschool since October 2017.  I have been married to my husband Christian for 4 years and we have 2 dogs, Jake and Summer that keep us busy. We are Colorado natives and love doing outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring new places. Outside of preschool, I teach gymnastics and oversee a lot of lesson planning at 20 Mile Athletic Center. I am also currently working on finishing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from MSU Denver. I love learning and I can’t wait to learn more from your kids!

Erin Sakryd - ECSE

My name is Erin Sakryd and I am excited to join Prairie Crossing Preschool as the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher.  This will be my 21st year as a special education teacher and my 14th year teaching in Douglas County.  I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential through child centered practice, differentiation, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

I have been married to my husband for 17 years and after spending time living in Vail, CO, the US Virgin Islands, and New York City, we settled down in Parker 14 years ago to start our family.  I have two girls, ages 12 and 15 and a new yellow labrador puppy!  As a family we enjoy spending time outside skiing, hiking, and biking.  We also enjoy traveling, especially to the beach!

I am looking forward to meeting your children and watching them grow into confident, independent young learners.

Jen May - SLP

I am Jen May, Speech Language Pathologist of 13 years. I  spent my first several years working in an elementary school in Wisconsin, as well as with adults in the hospital setting. After moving to Colorado in 2006, I began working for Douglas County School District as a Preschool Speech Language Pathologist. I spent 6 years with preschool before making the decision to stay home part-time with my youngest son Eli, who is now 7 years old.   I have done a variety of other placements such as in-home care, Early Intervention, and private clinic settings. I spent my last 3 years in the elementary school and  found that my passion continued to gravitate towards working with and supporting the young, early learners.    A little bit about me: I have two children, Eli (7) and Ella (11), two dogs (Utah and Teddie) and a husband of 16 years, Aaron.   I love, love, love to do Yoga and be active with my family hiking and biking.  I enjoy hiking Colorado, even some 14-ers, and am always enamored by the beauty and stillness of being on top of a mountain!  My husband, Aaron and I enjoy spending our time together cycling, stand-up paddle boarding, and snowboarding.  Though we are quite an active family, we find rest in enjoying good movies and making great meals together.
