Preschool Registration Information for the 
 2020-21 school year:
Preschool enrollment for 2020-21 school year is open. To be eligible for the 2020-2021 school year, a child must be 3 by September 1, 2020. Those children who turn 3 after September 1st, will be able to apply 3 weeks before their 3rd birthday.  All children who turn 5 years old before October 1, 2020, are not eligible for preschool and can apply for kindergarten at their neighborhood school.

Please remember that our preschool staff are off for the summer break. We will be returning to work on August 4th, 2020. Preschool is scheduled to begin class on August 17, 2020.

When Preschool staff returns from summer break, we will contact families to confirm both the date and time for both your Preschool Orientation and Beginning of the Year “Getting to Know You” conference.

    Our 70 Preschool classrooms are located in DCSD buildings throughout the school district. 

      Tuition is:
        Two day week: $170 per month (half day sessions)
          Four days week: $340 per month (half day session, M-Th)

            Registration Fee (non refundable): $100 (due at the time of acceptance)

                For families who are interested in tuition assistance please apply for (CPP) - Colorado Preschool Program, by completing the first step of the Preschool Registration process - an online form.  Within the online form, indicate an interest in CPP.  This does NOT commit you to preschool registration, should your child not qualify for tuition assistance. 

                    All preschool classrooms are located within DCSD buildings throughout the school district. Start and end times vary according to school of attendance. 

                    Inclement Weather - Delay/Closure Information

                    Inclement weather - Delay & Closure Information:
                    On a delayed schedule, Douglas County schools start 90 minutes later than the normal school start time.  On a delayed schedule, AM Preschool Class Sessions will be cancelled. PM class will not be affected by the delayed schedule.


                    The District will use the following methods to notify parents about weather-related school schedule changes:
                    • Local television and radio broadcasts starting at 5:00 a.m.
                    • District website: https://www.dcsdk12.org/school-closure-status for the most current and accurate schedule. Information will be updated by 5:00 a.m. 
                    • Weather hotline: 303-387-SNOW (7669). Closure and delay information will be updated by 5 a.m.
