Classroom Allergies

One or more students in our classroom have a severe allergy to peanuts and tree nut products. As with many students who have this allergy, even contact with another person who is consuming a product with this allergen can be of serious consequence.

Since we are in a mobile classroom, I am asking parents to please keep this in mind with snacks that are sent in to school. Please do not send in any snacks that will be consumed in the classroom that have peanut/tree nut products. Please save items that contain these products for the lunch room.

The school has an allergy-controlled table in the cafeteria. All students who sit at this table should not have any product containing the allergy causing food. Any student/s with this/these allergies may sit at this table to make sure that they are not exposed accidentally to other students eating peanuts/ tree nuts. This table is labeled “Nut Free” or allergen free table.

If this presents a difficulty for your student, please contact me.
