Milk Caps for Mooola

Do you receive dairy products from Longmont Dairy? If so, please collect those caps, of all colors, and send them into the NRE office. Each cap means 5 cents towards equipment and supplies for our Physical Education program, and the caps are recycled afterwards by the dairy. Win-win! We cannot accept milk caps from other dairies. Popcorn Friday - Sept. 7th

Our first Popcorn Friday of the year is on September 7th.

If your student is a member of the Kernel Club, they’ll receive popcorn automatically on Popcorn Friday. If not, your student can bring $1 on Friday, September 7th to enjoy hot, fresh popcorn. Only one bag of popcorn per student.

To join the Kernel Club, download the flier (Kernel Club Flier 2018-2019) and submit the form and payment to the NRE Office.

Fun Run

FUN RUN Fundraiser - Running of the Pronghorns - Wednesday August 29

This is our most important fundraiser of the year, please help your child(ren) find sponsors to fund the NRE Literacy Initiative and Capital Improvements!

This years goal is $125 in pledges per student

PTA News

Hello and a warm welcome from the Northridge Elementary PTA!

 Families, teachers, and staff are the backbone of our strong and supportive community at Northridge. We encourage any parent involvement and appreciate your commitment to making this a great school.

 The PTA welcomes the participation of all parents, grandparents, and guardians – all of the wonderful people who care for Northridge students.

Look out for the months exciting events at our PTA display board at the school’s front entrance and in the weekly email blasts. We encourage you to attend our PTA meetings, the first of which will be held on Tuesday, September 11 at 2:15 to 3:15. PTA meetings are a great place to meet and connect with other families and to support ongoing PTA initiatives and priorities.

PTA is currently in search for volunteers to fill the following positions available:

 Vice President to serve on the PTA board

 Chairperson, community breakfast (Grandparents breakfast)

 Chairperson community breakfast (Donuts for Dads)

 Chairperson community breakfast (Muffins for Moms)

Upcoming events:

 Back to school carnival – Friday 17 th from 5pm to 7pm. We would love to see you all

there. Please sign up for a volunteer slot here, to make this a fun evening for all to


 Book Drive – collection of books. Box will be left at the school front office for any

donations. Donations can range from K to 6 th grade and include chapter books, phonics, board books etc. Please refrain from donating books with a religious theme.

Book Fair

Northridge Elementary is having a Book Fair!

August 8 from 12:00pm to 7pm

August 9 from 8am to 6pm

August 10 from 8am to 6pm

Located in the NRE library. 

Our Scholastic Book Fair provides amazing books for children of all ages and reading levels. It gives them a chance to explore and select books that will suit their interest. Books filled with mystery, adventure, suspense and more.

Come visit the Book Fair at Northridge Elementary and find that special book that you simply can’t put down.

Chalk the Walk

Help us celebrate Back to School at Northridge for the 2018-2019 School Year! We need your help! We want to decorate the sidewalks with positive messages for students to start the year. Please join us in decorating the sidewalks that lead up to Northridge as well as the sidewalks at the bus stops and in the neighborhoods. Help every student feel welcomed and encouraged with simple chalk messages.
