What is FCCLA?

FCCLA stands for Family Career and Community Leaders of America.  It is a club associated with the Family and Consumer Science department here at Mountain Vista that focuses on community service and leadership development.

What are the advantages of joining?

  • FCCLA is a national club that is recognized by colleges across the country
  • If you are an active member in the club, you will have the opportunity to letter in FCCLA
  • You will get to help others in the community
  • You will meet new people

What will we do throughout the year?

  • There is a meeting on the first Thursday of every month at which you will either complete an hour long community service project or get information about a service project that is off campus later in the month.
  • There will be several social events planned so that club members can get to know each other.
  • There is a mandatory fundraiser so that we will have enough money to complete monthly service projects.
  • There is a state competition in April that all club members have the opportunity to compete at if they so choose.
