Catering I

This is an introductory course in food preparation and is recommended for students desiring to take later advanced food offerings. Food labs will demonstrate meal service and plate presentation, entertaining and dining etiquette. The course will develop basic culinary skills, knife skills and presentation techniques. It will offer
experience with gourmet ingredients and novel foods. In addition, students will gain a detailed knowledge of
the design process used in the food industry to create new and exciting food products. Creative Foods allows you to explore foreign foods, customs and the eating habits of cultures throughout the world.
