Significant Severe Needs at CME

Welcome to the CME SSN site! If you have spent a minute in the world of SPED you know that we use many acronyms. So let me try this again...Welcome to the Copper Mesa Elementary (CME) School Significant Support Needs (SSN...not to be confused with Social Security Number) site! I am Ms. B (Shelby Brinkman) and this is my 6th year here at CME and my 9th year in this amazing teaching career. I have such a big heart for the world of SSN and education in general. Besides the love of my job I also enjoy getting out into those mountains as often as possible. Whether it's hiking, camping, 4-wheeling, skiing or just enjoying the magnificent sights, the mountains is where you can usually find me when I am not at school. I grew up in the frozen tundra known as Minnesota and I must say....the cold really isn't that bad! I have been here in Colorado for 5 years now and don't plan on leaving any time soon. I have 2 partners in crime, Ben (the wonderful man in my life) and Charlie (my sweet, loving dog). Pictures of both incredible individuals are below. These two keep me a float during both fun and challenging times. I love them both dearly~!

As you can tell, I am rambler and can keep your ears entertained by all the random things I have to say. But, I won't bore you too much longer :) On my website you will be able to access the CME school calendar as well as a few useful links to have on hand for you and your child.

Before I forget to mention, I am a huge Dr. Seuss fan and I believe that the lessons in all of his books are useful for everyone! Dr. Seuss, with no surprise, is the theme in the SSN world and we are always focusing in on 'the places we will go'! So...if you are up for the excitement and challenges come take this amazing journey with us!
