Welcome to 4th Grade! Fourth grade is a wonderful year filled with learning, discovery, and growth. I am looking forward to getting to know each student personally, learning about their interests, and understanding the unique learning needs of each child. I truly am excited to meet you!

Every student that enters my classroom is intelligent and is capable of becoming a life-long learner. I value my students and appreciate their interests, unique methods of learning, and their characteristic traits that make them special. My desire is to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, share their thoughts and their thinking, and collaborate with their peers. Each student has a lot of potential as a learner, which is why I have high expectations of each child.

Education encompasses all aspects of life, which is why teaching is a team effort between teachers and parents. My desire is to partner with you to help you support your child's learning at home. I believe that communication is a crucial part of partnering with parents. Feel free to contact me through email or our school phone. I will also be sending out personal as well as class-wide emails, so please look for those important emails.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved in your child's classroom. I welcome volunteers in my class and am always appreciative of the help. After a few weeks of school, I will be able to best assess the needs of the classroom and will contact parents with a list of my volunteer needs.

Working together for your child's success,
