Hello and welcome to Mr. Fisher’s class. This is my fourth year teaching in Colorado. This is my eighth year in the classroom. I taught in Illinois for three years and I spent two years teaching International Baccalaureate Literature and Theory of Knowledge at an American International school in Costa Rica. I am excited to bring the IB rigor and my experiences abroad to my classroom at Mountain Vista as I continue to get to know the staff and community here. So far, Colorado has been good to us and we love it.
All handouts and daily activities will be posted on the website. If you miss class, just go to Daily Lesson Plans and you should find what you're looking for. If you are fishing for documents or due dates, they are organized and easy to find under the class tab.
Parents: If you need anything or have questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. For most minor issues, I will try to address things with the student, as I want them to carry the responsibility, but I will inform you of what is going on when necessary. I will do my best to update Infinite Campus regularly, so you can stay informed about grades.
I hope you will support me throughout this year. Please email me and let me know of any concerns or if you want to schedule a meeting. I want the lines of communication to be open always. I am still new to the community and I know I can learn a lot from you, especially when it comes to your child. You are the expert. Please inform me of any things I can do in the classroom to make sure this year/semester is successful for them.
Thank you for your time.
Jason William Fisher
