       About Us
The Mesa Middle School Counseling Department foremost strives to build trusting relationships with all students, staff, parents and community members. Our ongoing pursuit is to effectively design and implement a school guidance curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services and systems support within Mesa.
The Counseling Department's goal is to support each student in understanding the unique challenges both personally and developmentally that impact academic achievement, emotional health and personal growth. Mesa Middle School Counselors are committed to work with students and supporting their academic, social and personal growth. There may be times when we need to consult with other professionals and/or parents/guardians when there might be a safety concern.

Mesa Middle School Counselor's are associated with the ethical code and standards described by the American School Counselor Association. Our program is evaluated and driven by data that is aligned with the National Standards that include; academic, career and social/emotional needs. The data we use is all based upon assessments conducted at Mesa Middle School. We also work extensively with the Response to Intervention process, and outcome of the No Child Left Behind authorization, which assists success for students in all developmental areas.

Student appointments can be made by filling out a pass in the Counseling Office. Parent appointments can be made by contacting their child's assigned counselor (see below).
