Live From the Red Carpet...

       Welcome to Fourth Grade!
I am very excited about the 2018-2019 school year.  This will be my 16th year at Bear Canyon Elementary School.  I am originally from Buffalo, New York.  After graduating from college in 1994, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I taught a variety of grades and earned my Master’s Degree in school counseling K-12.

My husband and I moved to Colorado in January of 2001.  My 16-year-old daughter, Alexandra, will be in 11th grade this year at Cherokee Trail High School.  I also have a 12-year-old son named Jake who will be in middle school this year.

Our back to school, Meet and Greet will take place on Wednesday, August 8th.  Once students have sorted their supplies, I will be discussing grade level expectations and classroom activities. We will go over drop-off and dismissal procedures, volunteer opportunities, and answer questions you or your child may have. Please have one adult family member and your fourth grader present for the presentation. Students will need to bring their supplies so that they can organize them. Supply lists can be found on the BCE website. This way, your child will be ready for our first day of school on Thursday, August 9th .

It is my goal to create a safe, stable, and welcoming environment for your child where he or she can grow academically, socially and emotionally. I look forward to working with you to help your child become the best 4th grader he or she can be. As school begins, please feel free to contact me via email or send in a note with your child if you have any questions. Thank you for your support in making this new journey a complete success!
