I will be teaching Spanish 1A and Spanish 2 in this my eighth year as a Spanish teacher.  I am looking forward to expanding the language and cultural knowledge of students and myself.  My family is from México, I was born and raised in Texas where I learned English as a second language. I previously taught science for 19 years at the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade levels. Though the curriculum and instruction are very different, I approach Spanish as a class of discovery much like science. I am married and have two grown children of my own. My son currently works as an accountant in a petroleum company and my daughter is a sixth-year teacher at the middle school level. I am a native Spanish speaker and have a degree in Spanish and linguistics. I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, School Administration as well as an endorsement in Physical Education, Social Studies, and Science.  I look forward to a fun and exciting year of language acquisition through COMPREHENSIBLE INPUT.
