Current Unit: Summer Break
Unit Dates: May 22 - August 3

Teacher notes: What an interesting year we have had.  We have learned in a hybrid setting, remote, and in person.  Our students were fantastic throughout.  Happy Summer and we will see you next year!
  • Preschool staff are off for the summer break and will be returning to work on August 4th, 2021.  
  • When Preschool staff returns from summer break, we will contact you to confirm both the date and time for both your Preschool Orientation and Beginning of the Year “Getting to Know You” conference.

Complaints regarding violations of Title VI, (race, national origin), Title IX (sex, gender), Section 504/ADA (handicap or disability), may be filed directly with the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, 1244 North Speer Blvd., Suite 310, Denver, CO 80204. Complaints regarding violations of Title VII (employment) and the ADEA (prohibiting age discrimination in employment) may be filed directly with the Federal Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 303 E. 17th Ave., Suite 510, Denver, CO 80202, or the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 1560 Broadway, Suite 1050, Denver, CO 80202.

When district schools are placed on a 90 minute delayed schedule, DCSD will cancel morning preschool programs. If the delay is not district-wide, only preschool sessions in the affected region(s) will be canceled. PM class should not be affected by the delayed schedule. 

The District will use the following methods to notify parents about weather-related school schedule changes:
  • Local television and radio broadcasts starting at 5:00 a.m.
  • District website: for the most current and accurate weather closure information. Information will be updated by 4:00 a.m. 
  • Weather hotline: 303-387-SNOW (7669). Closure and delay information will be updated by 4 a.m.

  • All children need a full sized backpack, a change of clothes and a water bottle for school. 
  • We ask that each family provide a healthy nut free/peanut free snack each day for their child in a small see through container or its original packaging.
  • Please help your child practice keeping their mask on and washing their hands often.  
  • Remember to have your child wear close toed shoes and sunscreen.  
  • They are allowed to bring a hat and sunglasses to wear on the playground if they would like to.  We try to go outside as often as possible.
