I was born in southern California.  I have three younger brothers, two nephews, and a large step-family, with "great" step nieces and nephews.  My daughter graduated from UCCS (University of Colorado - Colorado Springs) this last May with her Nursing degree. She also got married this summer.  I have been living in Douglas County for 21 years, and moved from Parker to Castle Rock four years ago.  I have one dog and one cat.

After working as a purchasing agent, office manager, and payroll clerk for a private university and a non-profit, I went back to school for my 2nd B.A. at Colorado Christian University, and then received my Master's degree from University of Colorado Denver in 2007.  I began my teaching career in Denver Public Schools as a third grade teacher in an ELA-E classroom.  I also spent a year teaching in Nebraska (GED, Adult ESL, and an after school youth program).  In Douglas County I've worked as an ESL teacher, 4th grade teacher, and now back to 3rd grade.  This will be my 17th year at Flagstone, and my 25th year of teaching. 

I like to spend my time outside of school: walking, and gardening.  

This summer, besides helping with wedding planning, I went camping with family in Leadville, CO and along the Arkansas River.
