Welcome to 3rd Grade!!!
WELCOME TO 3rd GRADE
2025-2026
I am glad you will be joining us this year. Third grade is a really fun year of learning and becoming a responsible learner.
At Flagstone, classroom teachers work as a team with support staff to provide academic, behavioral, and classroom expectations that are cohesive and benefit each child's specific needs. I look forward to getting to know you and having a great year.

I send a weekly email update that includes our current academic focus, upcoming events, and important info.
I was born in southern California. I have three younger brothers, two nephews, and a large step-family, with "great" step nieces and nephews. My daughter and her husband live in Colorado Springs. She graduated from UCCS (University of Colorado - Colorado Springs) with her Nursing degree last year, and my son-in-law is working on his master's degree in counseling. I have been living in Douglas County for 23 years, and moved from Parker to Castle Rock six years ago. I have one dog and one cat.
After working as a purchasing agent, office manager, and payroll clerk for a private university and a non-profit, I went back to school for my 2nd B.A. at Colorado Christian University, and then received my Master's degree from University of Colorado Denver in 2007. I began my teaching career in Denver Public Schools as a third grade teacher in an ELA-E classroom. I also spent a year teaching in Nebraska (GED, Adult ESL, and an after school youth program). In Douglas County I've worked as an ESL teacher, 4th grade teacher, and now back to 3rd grade. This will be my 18th year at Flagstone, and my 27th year of teaching.
I like to spend my time outside of school: walking, watching wildlife, decorating, and gardening.
