Come join the Mountain Vista Chapter of the national ASL Honor Society!  The ASLHS is an official program established by ASL Teacher's Association, the only national organization of ASL teachers.  ASLHS was established to encourage high academic achievement at all levels of ASL study.  More information about the national ASLHS can be found here.

ASL Students in ASL 2, 3, and 4 are welcome to become members of the ASLHS.  During the school year, we will have meetings every other week in which students will communicate in the target language, explore Deaf culture and community, and dive into ASL Literature and Art through yearly competitions hosted by the national ASLHS.  Additionally, students involved in the ASLHS will be in charge of setting up local Deaf events and helping with the ASL Club at Mountain Ridge Middle School.  All events can be found on the calendar below.

For more information about becoming a member, membership requirements, and how to stay in the loop about ASLHS happenings, check out the files attached below!  Contact Ms. Fetterman with any additional questions.

UPDATE 9-15-16:  Meeting PowerPoints and Minutes (summaries) are online!  Click on the date you missed in the calendar, and within the "details" you will find attachments!
