Early Childhood Mission Statement

The Douglas County Preschool Program is an inclusive program for both typically developing students and students identified with special needs.  Each classroom serves approximately 15 students with a teaching staff of 3-4 adults. 

The mission of the Early Childhood Preschool Program is to provide an educational foundation for young children and to develop relationships among families, staff and community for individual student achievement.

Registration

The Douglas County Preschool Program is an inclusive program for both typically developing students and students identified with special needs.

Length of class is a 2 hour 45 minute session, morning or afternoon.  Our 70 Preschool classrooms are located in DCSD buildings throughout the school district.

Tuition for the School year:
$170 for days per week
$340 for 4 days per week

  • Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link to access the initial registration process.
  • Complete the initial registration process. Within this, there is an item in which you can indicate you are interested in CPP (Colorado Preschool Program):
    • i.e. "Would you like to apply for the CPP program (tuition assistance)?"
To qualify children must be 3 by October 1st AND meet specific criteria. 

Children who qualify must attend preschool 4 days per week.

By completing the initial registration process and indicating an interest in tuition assistance/CPP, you will not be required to pay the Preschool Registration Fee unless:
  • Your child does NOT qualify for CPP, AND
  • You do wish to enroll your child in preschool and will pay the Preschool Registration and Tuition fees.
