Individual Points Account

The Individual Points Account is provided by the Band Boosters to help your student save points to cover band fees. Treasurer(s) will be responsible for the IPA’s.
One IPA account per family; for families with more than one student, profits will be applied to the eldest child’s IPA (in case of twins, etc., it will be alphabetical). Once the eldest leaves the band program, the IPA will need to be transferred to the subsequent student in the family. Forms for transferring IPAs are below. IPA funds can be used for any family member.

After required band and fundraising fees have been paid in full and Centerplate shifts are completed, profits from fundraisers (or extra Centerplate shifts) will be applied to the Individual Points Account (IPA) at a rate of ½ a point per dollar. The Treasurer(s) makes the addition and withdrawals of points from your account with your written request (form below). Because of privacy issues, IPA accounts are tied to student numbers* rather than names. You may request a copy of your student’s IPA at any time (email the Treasurer). We will make every effort to reply to your questions within 48 hours.

IPA points can be used to pay for qualifying fees such as band fee, food and transportation, trip fees, banquet and band function event tickets.  ALL REQUIRED FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE IPA’S CAN BE USED FOR OTHER FEES. Because DCHS Band Booster is a Non-Profit organization, we have strict rules (based on IRS regulations) on what we can use the IPA’s for.

*Your student's IPA # is the last four digits of their Student ID Number.
