Wednesday Rehearsal/Upcoming Events

posted Oct 29, 2019, 7:26 PM by Chester Aliga
Hello Band Families,

Tomorrow will be the final rehearsal of the season! Hard to believe it's already here.

If school is in session Wednesday (tomorrow) with no cancellation of after school activities, we will rehearse from 3:30-5:30. We will do all of our end of year traditions at this rehearsal. Bring your Halloween costume!

If school is cancelled or after school activities are cancelled tomorrow, we will not rehearse. We will instead have a 4:00PM call time on Friday where we can rehearse and do our traditions then.

Friday football game call time is 5:15PM (or 4:00PM if Wednesday rehearsal is cancelled). We will get to perform the entire show during halftime! After our halftime performance we will change into our Halloween costumes and return to the stands.

The After State Lock In is this Saturday. If rehearsal is cancelled tomorrow you can bring your permission slip and money Friday before the football game.

Butterbraid and Wreath orders are due this Friday if you have been participating in these fundraisers. Please drop off any materials to the gray box on Mr. Aliga's door.

The Band Feeder Concert is coming up this Tuesday, November 5. To accommodate the number of kids for dinner, we will be starting the concert at 7:00PM instead of 6:30PM as originally scheduled. Please see the attached schedule. This concert will be in the DCHS North Gym with pizza dinner served in the North Commons.

Attire: Marching Band uniforms minus shakos. 8th graders you will also be in this attire during your Mesa performances. You do not need to change during the concert.

Band Season Book (new this year). Student Aysia White put together a Band Season Book 2019 (like a Marching Band Yearbook). This book includes pictures from all members of the band/guard over the course of the season. The cost of each book is $18. Please let Mr. Aliga know by Friday, November 1 if you would like to order a book. You can let me know simply by replying to this email. They will be delivered in 1-2 weeks. What a cool way to commemorate our awesome season!

Information for Winter Guard, Winter Percussion, and Jazz Band will be coming in the next week or so as we finalize schedules. Stay tuned and see you all soon!
