Express Check-In is available at the following link and is required of ALL DCSD students at the beginning of every school year.  It allows you to update contacts, health conditions and media consent along with the payment of school fees and  Transportation & Nutrition Services information.  While you cannot enter Express-Check In through parent portal you do use your parent portal account username and password to access via the following link:

In DCSD, CogAT testing is provided once a year at our elementary schools.  The testing window is typically in early September.  All 3rd and 6th graders take the CogAT each year at their school site.  There is no paperwork that needs to be completed in order to have your third or sixth grader tested.  Testing is provided for all 3rd and 6th graders as a way to collect important educational data on all district students.

During the same window, referral testing is also available.  For the 2017-2018 SY, referral testing will take place in September.  Referral for CogAT testing is limited to those students who are new to Douglas County and/or have not previously taken the CogAT test. Only those who demonstrate abilities or talents that are "so exceptional or developmentally advanced that they require special provisions to meet their educational programming needs" should be referred for testing.
The CogAT testing referral
window will close August 18, 2017.

All requests are due to our GT Facilitator,Jenny Rankin,
 by August 18th, 2017.
(Numbers must be finalized and testing booklets ordered, so late requests cannot be honored.)
