THANK YOU to all the people who made the Boosterthon Fun Run a wonderful success last week: students, teachers, staff, parents, and of course, Baxter! We could not have done it without each and every one of you! Students came home Friday with collection envelopes for their Boosterthon pledges. Contributors can pay online via credit card or by check. Please collect your pledges, and return your checks in the envelopes BY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10. We have potentially raised $26,000 (dependent on collecting ALL pledges). This is close to our goal of $30,000, so if you have other new people to approach about contributions, there is still time before Wednesday! Thank you! You all have done a fantastic job! OHIP (The Oral Health Impact Project) is coming to Douglas County!  There are about 17 DCSD schools that are working to bring this service to their schools this year and Clear Sky is one of them.

OHIP is a school based dental clinic that provides free dental screenings to students right at their school.  OHIP can also provide x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and topical fluoride applications, and other services to students who have private health insurance, medicaid, or CHP+.  OHIP will also help uninsured kids receive treatment.

The permission form needs to be returned now as the district is already working to schedule dates with schools based on the interest level.  There is no need to return the form unless you are giving permission for your student to participate.
Below is a FAQ form from the company and a "What the dentist can do" letter along with the permission form in English and Spanish.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2016/16 school year has begun.  Registration paperwork will be accepted during office hours (8:30 to 4:30 pm on school days).  Registration packets are available in the front office or here for download.

School tours will be offered monthly for incoming students who will be new for the 2016/17 school year on the following dates:  January 14th at 10 am, February 17th at 10 am, March 15th at 10 am, April 13th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, May 11th at 10 am and May 26th at 2 pm.  Please continue to check back for updates.

School supply lists are ready! Click the link and you can view the list from your smartphone or print a PDF from your computer.

Families who wish to enroll their student in a school other than their neighborhood school must complete an Open Enrollment application during one of two open enrollment periods DCSD offers annually. The first round of open enrollment is from November 1, 2015, to January 5, 2016. Follow the link to the online form and more information on the DCSD website. The next school tour scheduled for prospective open enrollment families is on December 10th at 2 pm.
