Introduction

Hello,

This will be my 27th year of teaching, 20 of which have been in Douglas County Schools. I opened Rocky Heights Middle school and worked as the tech teacher, yearbook adviser, and video production teacher. During my time there, the school received state, national and international awards in the area of film and journalism. I personally was awarded the first superintendents "World Class Educator Award" at the school districts 2012 Apple Awards. The Rocky Heights program was a model and visited by people across the country every year. Because of the success of the program, I worked at the district office with the specific goal of improving video programs K-12 across Douglas County. I returned to teaching at Cresthill Middle School and revived the program, winning many awards at the local, state and national level. In my last four years at Cimarron, our yearbook program has won many awards including be recognized nationally and our video program has been recognized at the state level, often competing against high schools.

I am looking forward to an amazing year.
