I am the School Social Worker at Highlands Ranch High School. I attended Metropolitan State College of Denver and obtained my Bachelors Degree in Human Services and a Minor in Sociology. I then went on to complete my Masters of Social Work at Colorado State University. This will be my 3rd year at HRHS and I look forward to it everyday! I am a member of the Instructional Support Services Team and my office is located in the Counseling Department. Sometimes people confuse School Counselors with School Social Workers.  School Counselors mainly work with students on school issues such as choosing classes, improving grades, planning for college and planning for a career.  As part of the ISS Department and the Mental Health Team, School Social Workers help students who have social, emotional, cognitive, or physical challenges and helping students and families obtain resources within the community. My goal when working with students is to ensure that they leave Highlands Ranch High School with life-skills, social skills, and practical skills that they need to be a productive citizen in our community.
