Do you love listening to or playing music? Do you spend your free time developing music mixes for your friends? Would you like to record music or sound to produce a CD or movie sound track? 

In the Digital AudioProduction program, students who want to turn their passion for music and sound into a career will have the chance to create, record, edit, mix and master audio recordings. This course provides experience not only with the theory of what goes on inside the equipment, but also offers hands-on use of microphones, mixers, speakers, and other digital audio equipment. If you are a performer, Digital Audio Production is a great way to learn about what goes into making a recording. If you are someone who loves music and er areas of business and entertainment. Are you interested in blending both your artistic and technical skills? Participation in this program requires creativity, technical knowledge, basic computer skills, ability to handle critiques of your work from others, attention to detail, patience, strong verbal communication skills and teamwork. 

You will work in a wide variety of environments from studios to outdoor venues while constantly changing technology and being pushed to meet deadlines. You will learn how to use professional audio equipment, “Pro Tools” audio production software, strategies, music theory, and relevant music business issues. Students will develop the following essential skills: operation of audio equipment; plan, setup and execute production sessions; collaboration in the creation of production, completion of projects individually and in teams.
