Community Support Resources

  • Family Support Services: Families First - http://www.familiesfirstcolorado.org/ / 303-695-7996.  This resource is for families who might have needs in multiple areas. Families first will help them get connected to a variety of community-based support services. 
  • Inter - Faith Community Services - provides basic human services and enrichment programs to low-income people using community resources
  • Parent to Parent of Colorado http://www.p2p-co.org/.  Offers encouragement to parents through each other on the journey of parenting sons and daughters with disabilities or special health care needs. Provides emotional and informational support, resources and by matching parents seeking support with a support parent. 
  • PEAK Parent Center http://www.peakparent.org/. Provides training, information and technical assistance to equip families of children birth through twenty-six including all disability conditions with strategies to advocate successfully for their children.
  • PEP - Parents Encouraging Parents https://www.cde.state.co.us/cdesped/pepPEP Is Parents Encouraging Parents! The Exceptional Student Services Unit (ESSU) at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) plan conferences throughout the year that are family-centered and designed to offer support, information, and education to parents and professionals. We call these gatherings PEP Conferences!
