Welcome to AGE's Anti-Bullying Information Site.  This  is our third year that AGE is working on our Anti-Bullying program. Douglas County School District rolled out a district wide anti-bullying initiative in connection to House Bill 11-1254 which focuses on reducing the frequency of bullying that takes place in schools in the 2012/2013 school year.

Our students have been taught to recognize the difference between normal conflict and bullying behavior.   We will continue working on strategies that will help them stand up to others, seek help when needed, and strategies to work through normal conflict.

Acres Green is a 7 Habits/Leader in Me school and within that program are all the tools we all need to be successful in our relationships with others.  Our plan is an ongoing process to educate students, staff, and families about the four major types of bullying: physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying.

This year with Leader in Me time every morning the students will be focusing on a deeper understanding of the 7 Habits and along with that will become better at taking control of their behavior and also relating to others.

Our community will be informed about what is going on through what's new, school-wide emails, Friday folders and our anti-bullying site.  All information sent out to families will also be posted on this site.  In addition, if you have any questions about what we are doing, please contact Tracie King at tracie.king@dcsdk12.org.
