    • Helpful Links
      • School Naming Policy: DCPS has an official school naming that applies to the naming of new and re-naming of schools in DCPS. The process we will propose on Monday is based on this policy. We would like to ask all members of the CWG to review this prior to Monday. View compiled nominations as of 7/6/2018.
      • DCPS Principal Hiring: We will briefly touch on the timeline to hire the MS Principal and how the CWG can help inform this process. Please take a look at the official DCPS principal job description and the general application process for all DCPS principal openings.
      • Coolidge High School: DCPS and the Coolidge community have been reflecting and thinking about the school’s offerings for the past few years. Please review some of the material on the DCPS school planning blog which captures the feedback and engagement process to date.  We also have an attached one pager that helps summarize the overall what DCPS is aiming to accomplish with redesigning Coolidge HS and opening ‘New North MS’ .
      • Opening ‘New North MS’: The decision to open a new middle school originates to 2014 when the city overhauled all the school boundaries. Please see the “capacity for middle grades” on Pages 8-9
