Battle of the Books

WHO can participate? 4th and 5th grade students.

WHAT is it? Part book club, part team competition. Students read as many books as possible from the list to the right. We meet to talk about the books and answer questions. On March 27, 2018 all Davie County elementary schools compete to see which team knows the most about the books.

WHEN are meetings? Beginning in November, we will meet on Mondays during students' lunch times.

HOW do students qualify for the team? (1) Read at least 8 books from the list and pass short tests on them by February 1, 2018. (2) Good attendance at meetings.

If you are interested in participating, begin reading the selections as soon as possible.

► An informational letter with permission slip attached and a useful planning calendar with meetings can be downloaded from the bottom of the page. ◄
