Welcome

¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Spanish!  Here you will find our course syllabus, games, and activities to help you expand your knowledge of the Spanish language. In class, we focus on four main areas; reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Information for extra credit is explained in the syllabus. Extra credit flashcards are due on or before the day of each quiz. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email.

¡Gracias!

6TH GRADERS: Use the "Semana Santa" powerpoint below to complete your webquest. You will need to visit the following websites to learn more about Semana Santa and to find answers for your webquest. If you don't finish in class, we'll finish it together on Friday. However, you should have the majority, if not all, completed by Friday.

7TH GRADERS:
For our unit on Spanish-speaking countries and their products, visit the sites below to see what products are from various Spanish-speaking countries.

For our food unit:
First: Use "Tony's Food Gadget" to answer the questions on your "Nutrition Information" handout.
Second: Check out this game to try making a healthy meal. Get ready to test out your listening and reading skills in Spanish!
Third: Choose any of the games from the Chef Solus page to play.

8TH GRADERS:
Review the "Spanish Careers PowerPoint" listed at the bottom of this page. Follow the links within the PowerPoint to complete the tasks in the "Careers with Spanish" webquest. This is a google doc in which you will record your answers and include screenshots to show your work. You must log in to Google for this to work. Please make a copy and work from it...do not edit the original version or you may lose your work. If for some reason the technology doesn't work, there are paper/pencil versions on the front table. You can record your answers on the handout. Whatever you don't finish in class will be for homework. This is due on Friday, 3/25.
