Welcome to the Computer Skills classroom at Ellis Middle School. I am so glad that you are here! Students at Ellis will have mandatory computer classes in the 6th and 7th grades. These classes are used to introduce students to a wide range of computer related topics and software programs in order to prepare them better for a life in the 21st Century where technology has such a huge role in our lives. These courses are the foundation for the more advance computer courses that the students can take at the high school level (see below right).
In the 8th grade, students have the option to take a course called Exploring Business Technologies. This course introduced students to the world of business and covers such topics as types of businesses, economics, and the law of supply and demand. This course is also an introduction course to prepare students for business courses at the high school level (see below right).
