What services does the EL receive through the ESL Program?

  1. ELs are pulled out for ESL classes at the elementary level. The number of classes the student receives depends on his/her proficiency level and if the student is receiving other services.
  2. Sometimes the ESL teacher pulls in the regular classroom to assist the EL with the class content.
  3. The ESL teacher elaborates an individualized educational plan (ESL Plan) for the EL, with instructional modifications for the teachers to be followed when delivering content.
  4. The ESL plan includes specific accommodations to be used when assessing the EL.
