Darrington is home to several music festivals in the summer such as the famous Darrington Bluegrass Festival, Summer Melt Down and the Spur Festival. In June there is the Timberbowl Rodeo, and for the horse enthusiast once a month Play Days at the rodeo grounds. Darrington is home of the only permanent archery range in the U.S.A. Darrington is surrounded by scenic rivers, one of the best ways to see a river is a float down on whitewater rafting trip. Feel the spray of the Sauk River's class III+ rapids as it winds through ancient water worn boulders. The mountain views are just astounding!
