ESL English as a Second Language

Registration for Spring 2016 is January 11 (returning students) and
January 12 (new students)

This program is designed for adults who have limited English language skills. There are three levels of ESL instruction:  Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced.  ESL classes help students to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills so they are better able to find employment, become involved with their children’s schooling, and make use of community resources. ESL classes are offered both daytime and evening.

Daytime classes are located at the First Congregational Church on Deer Hill Ave, Danbury and evening classes are located at Danbury High School, 43 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury.  Classes meet twice per week and are offered on either a Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs schedule.

A withdrawal form is required for a student 18 years of age who enrolls in English as a Second Language.

Registration is January 11 and 12.  Registration for new students includes orientation and placement surveys. Please plan on a 2 hour visit.
