Great way to make a worksheet in Google Docs with spaces for student answers

posted May 20, 2015, 10:41 AM by Natalie Koehler

Found this great tip on the web for creating spaces for student answers on google docs.

Instead of inserting an underline where students have to put in an answer.

Example The area of a square is found by multiplying _______________ by the height.

That sometimes makes it look sloppy as what the student writes in is or is/not underlined and the spacing can be off.

Instead, insert a highlight in the space the you want the student to answer.

Example The area of a square is found by multiplying     by the height.

That way when the student answers it looks like this.

Example The area of a square is found by multiplying   length  by the height.
