Overview


The
Westside Middle School Academy Counseling Program is aligned with the School Improvement Plan to allow all students the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a positive, respectful and safe environment.  
 It is and student centered, standard based program that focuses on students academic achievement, personal, social, and emotional development and preparedness for college/career and postsecondary success.
  Miss Milano is a certified School Counselor.  She earned her Master's degree in Urban School Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. She is new to WSMSA but has been advocating for students' academics and mental health since 2015 in Baltimore, MD and Burlington, VT. She is available to meet with students on an individual and / or group basis. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact her.

Mr. Darragh IV is a certified School Counselor.  He earned his masters degree in School Counseling at UCONN.  This is his fourth year at WSMSA and in the Danbury Public Schools.  He is available to meet with students on an individual and group counseling basis.  Mr. Darragh is the advisor for NJHS & Peer Mediation.  He also enjoys helping out with the school musical every year.  If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact him.

Mrs. Saracino
is a certified School Psychologist. She earned her Master's degree in School Psychology from Marist College. This is her seventh year in Danbury Public Schools and second year at WSMSA. Prior to Danbury Public Schools Mrs. Saracino was a School Psychologist in NY for students with severe emotional needs. Mrs. Saracino is a strong advocate for the needs of special education students. She also provides school-based individual/group based counseling for students in need of direct support.  If you have any questions, please contact her.
