Principal's Message

"Broadview's pride is having respect for people, property, and the ideas of others."

Welcome to Broadview Middle School!

Broadview Middle School has been providing Danbury's children with quality education for over 30 years. Broadview is divided into individual clusters (three each for grades 6, 7, & 8), providing a personal small school environment while still serving well over 1100 students. We have great students, an involved PTO, and a terrific staff, that provide an excellent opportunity for our students to grow & learn.

September 2017 Newsletter:

Dear Broadview Parents and Students

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! I hope you enjoyed a summer vacation filled with fun and exciting memories with your loved ones. We were thrilled to welcome all of you back to a new school year of learning and growing. I have missed our students filling the hallways with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

Personally, I am grateful and elated to continue this journey with you as your Principal. Over the past year, I have had a chance to meet many of you and your children, and look forward to continue building a strong relationship with all of you in the upcoming year. As we enter this new school year, I want to let you know that our staff will be engaging in conversations around having a growth mindset, both for themselves and all students. We believe that every person in this building should always be growing and learning. Despite obstacles that may arise, we must always believe in our ability to rise above challenges and come out stronger on the other end.

I want to personally invite you to attend our Open House on Monday, September 11th from 5:45- 8:00 PM for Grade 6 and Thursday, September 14th from 5:45 – 8:00 PM for Grades 7thand 8.   This will be a great time to strengthen our Broadview community, meet teachers, and learn about the upcoming school year.  Our school goal is to see 100% of our families at this event. I hope to see each of you at Open House.

I am honored to serve as the principal of this great school.  It is a truly a privilege to a part of a community where parents, teacher and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.  Please feel free to contact me at 203-797-4860 or thomae@danbury.k12.ct.us.

Once again welcome back!  Let’s make it another great year.
