My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that students’ minds are not empty vessels waiting to be filled. Each one of them brings their own particular brand of genius to my classroom, and my most important job is to discover and empower that genius.

My Teaching Experience

The 2020-2021 school year will be my 8th year of teaching in Dallas ISD and my 12th year of teaching overall. I started at J.L. Long as a 7th Grade Math teacher and made the transition to the Design Department four years ago.
