Lincoln Students in the Spot Light

This past weekend, Lincoln musicians and singers got a taste of real show biz life with two live, public performances. The Lincoln Jazz band, under the direction of Mr. Greg Fudala, greeted guests at the Mount Prospect Education Foundation's spring gala event on Saturday, February 25 at the Meadows Club. The group performed a full set of tunes with some swinging blues riffs and smooth jazz solos by our award winning students. That same evening, the Lincoln Celebration Singers, under the direction of Ms. Leslie Thomas, performed at the All State Arena just before the Chicago Wolves dropped the puck. Their rendition of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" brought a rousing round of applause from the near sell-out crowd. We appreciate how well our students represent Lincoln and the Mount Prospect community and thank their directors for providing such outstanding real-life show biz opportunities for the students.
