NIU ACT/SAT Prep Courses

The Northern Illinois University Spring ACT and SAT Test preparation program provides individualized attention in a small classroom setting and offers students a chance to best prepare themselves for the ACT or SAT.

 

NIU parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays but students must not park in spaces marked “Reserved at all times”.

 

Enrollment is limited and registration is now open at www.niu.edu/clasep/testprep/act or www.niu.edu/clasep/testprep/sat

 

NIU’s ACT program covers English, Math, Reading and Science Reasoning and the SAT program covers Writing and Language Arts, Reading, Math (Calculator and No Calculator.)

 

The NIU ACT/SAT instructors include Lance Vobornik, an experienced Mathematics instructor at NIU with a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Melissa Craig, an experienced teacher at St. Thomas More School.

 

Spring ACT Test Preparation Schedule:

 

Spring Session I

February 4, 2017 – Pre-test

February 11, 2017 – English

February 18, 2017 – Reading and Science Reasoning

February 25, 2017 – Math

March 5, 2017 – Post-test

 

Spring Session II

February 5, 2017 – Pre-test

February 12, 2017 – English

February 19, 2017 – Reading and Science Reasoning

February 26, 2017 – Math

March 6, 2017 – Post-test

 

Cost is $250 ($275 after January 27) which includes instruction, book, website access, and retired ACT tests. It does not include registration to take the actual ACT test.

 

Spring SAT Test Preparation Schedule:

March 5, 2017 – Pre-test

March 12, 2017 – Writing and Language Arts 

March 19, 2017 – Reading

March 26, 2017 – Math (Calculator and No Calculator)

April 2, 2017 – Post-test

 

Cost is $250 ($275 after February 24) which includes instruction, book, website access, and retired SAT tests. It does not include registration to take the actual SAT test.
